Beginners Private Studio Tuition Day
This is a day aimed at people who are looking to learn the basics of studio and portrait photography, perhaps with the idea of buying their own lighting set up. We will cover topics such as setting up a portable studio, different types of backgrounds, how to set the lights using a light meter, how to use the modelling lights and some lighting set ups ranging from a simple single light unit to more complicated multiple light set ups.
We supply all the lighting equipment, lighting diffusers, stands, backgrounds, light meter, as well as a model during the course of the day. We also provide a snack lunch with cold soft drinks available throughout the day. Kinson Community Centre where we hold these days provides ample free parking, toilet facilities and some limited snack vending machines. There are ample power points available in the room for lap tops and battery chargers if needed.
You will need to bring a DSLR camera, or one can be provided for you for the day, sufficient memory cards, batteries and if you want to, a lap top to view your images. Please note that users of Sony cameras may also need an adaptor to convert the Sony/Minolta hotshoe fitting to a standard hotshoe fitting so our flash triggers will fit. Sundays Only

Venue: Kinson Community Centre in Kinson, Bournemouth, which has ample free parking, toilet and vending machine facilities.
