Tutorial: Starting Off

Lets look at the History Window first. This tells you the last few steps that you have made, and, if you make a mistake or are not happy with what you have done, allows you to go back a step to a point before you made the changes. By default CS2 allows you to go back by up to 20 steps, although you can change this number in preferences. Clicking on the file name at the top of the window, in this case "rock.tiff" will take you right back to the original image that you opened.

You can move windows around your desk top, simply by placing the cursor on the blue bar at the top of each window, then holding the left mouse button down and moving the mouse to drag the window to where you want it. You can also minimise and maximise the window size using the minimise/maximise button, and resize the window by placing the cursor on the triangle drag box on the bottom right of the window, holding the left mouse button down and drag the window bigger or smaller.
