Tutorial: Adjustment Layers

Adjustment Layers are a way of making basic changes to an image, without permanently changing the image until you are fully satisfied with the changes being made. The great advantage of using Adjustment Layers is that you are in full control of their effects, and can change them, delete them and switch them off and on at will.

Firstly open your image into Photoshop, and make sure that the Layers Window is open.

In the Layer Window, click the mouse on the "Create new fill or adjustment layer" button to open the menu. Here we have selected the Hue/Saturation to change.
